Now I have two princess's. Kara told me all about her sister this morning and had to go inside to get the most recent picture. She seems to be very happy with her new sister. Can't wait til everyone gets home so I can hold her in my arms. This trip to the airport, I guess I can't be a hog and be the first to hold her like I did with Zach and Kara. I think I better let Mommy and Big sister go first.
Love you all. You all make me very proud and happy when I think about all you go through and went through for Kara and Emily.
What great pictures of the newest addition to the Film Family. So Uncle Timmy wants to know do we have another basketball player in the family....Can't wait until we get to meet her. Kara must be so proud to have a new sister. I can't believe she is drinking out of a sippy cup... Corey keep up the good work in taking care of your newest Angel.
Nana and Papa just got back from shopping. Emily has lots of new outfits. And it was such fun picking them out. Now we have to hope we got the right size. Please keep posting pictures. I can't see enough of them. Love, Nana 2:02 PM

And if I go,
while you're still here...
Know that I live on,
vibrating to a different measure
--behind a thin veil
you cannot see through.
You will not see me,
so you must have faith.
I wait for the time when
we can soar together again,
--both aware of each other.
Until then, live your life to its fullest.
And when you need me,
just whisper my name in your heart
...I will be there.
There was a time Papa and I did not think we would be blessed with the joy of sharing our life and love with grandchildren. Little did we know God had a plan for our family. He chose four special babies from half way around the world to be loved and cherished by our daughters, their husbands and us, their Nana and Papa. This blog is being written to remind our grandchildren of special times their Nana and Papa shared in their lives. It begins with Kristen’s and Corey's journals to the adoptions of their daughters, Kara Michelle from Russia and Emily Xian from China. I did not include the journals of Michelle’s and Don’s sons, Zachary Ryan and Alexander Peter from Karaganda, Kazakhstan, as their parents gifted us with bound books of their long journeys to their sons, which we cherish. In 2007 God surprised us. Kristen and Corey became pregnant with their third daughter. Our sweet girl, Amanda Lynn, became our Guardian Angel when she was born into Heaven January 16, 2008. Although not of this world, our granddaughter Amanda will live in our hearts forever.
I hope you will follow my blog and share in the memories made with our grandchildren. As my Dad always said, “It is all about memories.” And truly, it is.
