Kara Turns "9"

I can't believe our oldest granddaughter is nine years old. I can still see the baby who came home to us eight years ago. But time marches on. Kara, being herself, changed into I can't tell you how many dress up outfits during the span of her party. Her favorite is being a princess, of course. We all had a great time and I know it is a day Kara will remember with a smile.

Why I Write This Blog

Papa bought me a beautiful Willow Tree figurine called "Angel Love" yesterday. It came with this saying written on a small piece of parchment paper:

I hope years from now the four of you will sit with Nana and Papa reading this blog and remember all the wonderful times you had with us all the years you were growing up. You certainly will know how very important you are in our lives and how much we love you, our precious grandchildren.

Class Pictures

There is a story behind the smirk on Miss Kara's face. Kara is in that Tooth Fairy stage in her life. She has lost one of her front teeth and refuses to show that beautiful smile she has until she loses the other! Kara is nine and Zack is ten. Both are all around kids with great grades and even greater personalities. Kids, I only hope you never change:~)
