Zack and Kara's Christmas Concert - 2009

Zack and Kara took part in the same Christmas concert at Tamarac School this year. Kara was in the chorus, as was Zack. And this was the first time we had the pleasure of hearing Zack play his trombone as a member of the band. It brought back so many memories to me. Your Mom's were always in the chorus. Emily and Kara, your mom played the clarinet in middle school. Of course, soon after it was paid for, she quit!! Don't let her tell you anything different. Alex and Zack, your Mom played the saxophone and other instruments. She LOVED playing and continued on till graduation from high school. Oh my, we had to sit through so many concerts. These are some of the ways we are buying our way to Heaven (many years from now).

Some Day You'll Want to Know. . . .

I just love this picture. It includes six of my nine siblings. I wanted to post it because the day will come you will want to "look back" at your family. Now for the names:
Top row: Uncle Wes, Uncle Skip and Uncle Timmy
Bottom row: Uncle Gordon, Nana, Aunt Suzy, and Uncle Raymond

I have three more siblings not included in this picture. Now I have to look for pictures of them and I will post them, too.

You are so fortunate to have such a large family, with so many aunts, uncles and cousins. There is nothing greater in life than loving and being loved. God has been beyond good to all of us.

Amanda's Second Heavenly Birthday

Yesterday was Amanda's second heavenly birthday. We all went to mass Friday in memory of her. Saturday your family and friends got together, just for that reason, to be together. We just enjoyed each other's company; talked, laughed, kids playing all around us. But we all knew why we were together; to celebrate our Sweet Angel Amanda.

Christmas and The New Year - 2010

Christmas was great with all of us together. All four grandchildren were happy with what Nana and Papa gave them. We had a great meal together. Then we were off to church. I think Christmas is the day of the year I feel closest to my family and so thankful for God's gift of Zack, Kara, Emily and Alex. And then there is that spot in my heart reserved for our special angel Amanda. I felt Amanda with us, as I'm sure the rest of our family did.

We had a great Christmas Eve with our family. It began with mass at Our Lady of Victory's church. Later, the kids, big and small, were thrilled with their gifts. We had such fun watching everyone enjoy their evening. Our family is so blessed. We thank God every day.
